A Provocative Rant About Counter Strike New Counter Strike New Revealed Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It's an update for CS:GO that will bring the game onto the Source 2 engine and make some significant visual changes. It also includes sub-tick server updates and responsive smoke grenades. It's made a lot of armchair gamers crazy, but it looks like an upgrade for the average player. Smokes Counter Strike New is getting a major update that will completely change the method of using smokes in the game. These changes, known as responsive smokes, will be an important game changer. Smokes will expand to fill areas and move around the map to move around objects. They will also react to the lighting of the games, making them look more real. Smokes will also interact with events in the game. This will provide new tactical possibilities. For example, bullets will push smoke to briefly make clear sightlines, while explosions from hex grenades will disperse smoke occlusion. The most significant change to smokes is that they will now be a more dynamic element of the game. In previous iterations, smokes were a fixed shape and was limited in terms of how far they could go and how much vision they blocked. But, the new smokes will expand to cover the space they're within and take up more of the player's vision when they are within the area. This is a significant change that will increase the speed of play and give both teams the same visibility. Smokes will react to the light as well as the weapons and the surroundings of the world. This will make the smoke feel more real and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially useful in the chaotic 5v5 matches that are sure to happen on every map. Smokes won't be one-way, which was a significant issue in CSGO and allowed players to see their opponents' locations from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional, says the new system is a major improvement for players in competitive CS2 and makes it more fair for both teams. Other minor enhancements include adjusting the vertical location of smoke particles in order to minimize the visibility of edges and updating spectators' smoke overlay images to match their camera position. Finally, the expiration of smokes has been revised to be more in accordance with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen. Loadouts Players of CSGO can now alter their weapon choices prior to the start of every game. The new loadout system allows players to select weapons that match their playstyles and team strategies. The new system adds depth to the game because players must balance both firepower and utility. In addition to the new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes a number of other enhancements and changes. The most important is that the buy menu has been completely overhauled. The old buy wheel has been replaced by a customizable grid that shows all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is populated with five pistols, five "mid-tier" weapons such as shotguns and submachine guns, and five carbines and rifles. The new system is easy to use and will give players greater control over their weapon choices. It will allow them to select the weapon that best fits their playstyle, team strategy and play around with different combinations. It will also enable them to test out their abilities against other players' loadouts, and see how they compare. While many players are pleased with the additional flexibility, others have been critical of it for straying from the essence of Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern over the impact it will have on map-specific loadsouts and agent's skins based upon visibility. Despite these criticisms however, it is important to remember that the new loadout system is still in its infancy, and will go through more thorough testing over the next few months. It is possible that some of these issues will be addressed in future updates, therefore it is essential to stay tuned for more details. In addition to the brand new CS: GO features, the new update also includes Workshop Tools, which can be enabled through the game's settings menu. These tools enable community contributors to design weapon finishes, stickers, and maps. The update will also live ban players who break VAC guidelines in matches. cs2 cases : GO update is expected to be released later this summer. Players can check out the complete list of features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site. Sub-Tick Updates The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in small intervals of time, referred to as ticks. The smallest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player may affect a shot's accuracy, so Valve is doing its best to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. A new video shows the most significant improvements to the game, referred to as sub tick updates. Rather than an update of 64 ticks every millisecond, CS GO will now be able make use of sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. Each of these tiny intervals of time will be recorded by the client and transmitted to the server, which will send back the latest game state to players. The servers will now know exactly moment you fired your shot and jumped, swung and other inputs. While a one-minute video is not enough to cover everything the video explains that every piece of information sent by a client has an associated time stamp. The server will gather all the data from all players in chronological order prior to sending it back. According to the video it is believed that a CS: GO server will now be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick server. This means that even if the tick rate of the game increased to 128 Hz, the game will still be able to handle your commands instantly. It's not solely about increasing the tick rate, either; the micro-tick updates will also reduce input lag and latency by ensuring that the server responds to your actions with no delays or glitches. This is clearly only the start of the technical enhancements Valve is making to the game. The company is using particles and smoke that are dynamic to improve the way smoke interacts with the environment. It's also upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. All CS: GO cosmetics and weapons will get a facelift with Source 2 tools and features. Maps The coming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game, along with a few classics that are being given facelifts. These updates are being tested in an unspecified beta. The first set of maps includes upgrade and touchstone maps that will see no major changes to gameplay, while others have been fully revamped or rebuilt using the new Source 2 tools. Overpass is one of the maps that has been modified to benefit from the new engine's unified light system. The underpass on the map's dark and eerie scene has been filled with light and makes the area spacious and less crowded. Smoke grenades now expand dynamically in order to fill spaces and interact with the light. Italy is another map that has been overhauled. Its texture, lighting and structure have all been greatly improved. The new version is more balanced than its predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. Fans can expect more classics, including Aztec and Militia, to be revamped in the near future. These maps won't be added to the map pool for competitive play even though they're still playable. The only exception is Train which was removed from Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed if the other maps removed from the pool will be reinstated. Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been criticized as controversial. The news organization has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions in Ukraine and the map is based from the city that was devastated by war in Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna, and it contains a number of references to the conflict. In the future, the developer will be releasing a collection of Source 2 tools for community map creators to utilize in their own designs. This will include features such as improved lighting and character read and physically-based rendering that produces realistic materials, textures and reflections. It will also make real-world objects, like doors and windows, simpler to create. The update is expected to be released sometime in the summer.
